What is Sentence case?

This converter applies simple Sentence case per line. It capitalizes the first detected word and lowercases later words.

The converter runs entirely in your browser. Your input is not uploaded or stored, and Unicode characters remain Unicode rather than being transliterated.

How this conversion works

  1. Tokenize each line using separators, punctuation, and changes in letter case.
  2. Capitalize the first detected word on each line and lowercase all following words.
  3. Join words with spaces; do not infer sentence boundaries or restore punctuation.

Sentence Case Converter FAQ

Does it detect multiple sentences in one line?

No. It applies the rule once per line and does not use grammatical sentence detection.

Is punctuation preserved?

No. Sentence case uses the shared word tokenizer. Use lowercase or uppercase when punctuation and spacing must remain unchanged.
